Lifestyle changes remain the pinnacle of treatment and consistency in the implementation of lifestyle changes is needed to see improvement and resolution of this condition. Strong support and frequent follow-up, along with treatment for hypertension, hypertriglyceridemia, and hyperglycemia may be needed to prevent the development of heart disease or stroke.
